How It Works
Following an allegation of negligence being made against you, the below process is how insurers will view the event and how your loss will be treated.
Notify as Soon as Practicable
You must notify the claims managers as soon as reasonably possible after becoming aware of any circumstance that may give rise to a claim.
Do Not
Admit Liability
You must not admit fault, settle, promise payment, or incur costs without prior written agreement from the insurer.
General
Claims
Notification must be made no later than 7 days after the policy expiry date (or within any extended reporting period if applicable).
Contractual
Disputes
Notification must be made within 30 days of becoming aware of a disputed sum or within 90 days of an overdue invoice, after attempting recovery or compromise.
Treatment of Notified Circumstances
If a circumstance is properly notified, any resulting claim will be treated as having been made during the period of that policy.

Should you wish to notify a claim under this Policy, please contact the 24 hour dental legal helpline shown on your Policy Schedule. You must do this as soon as you can, but this must be no later than 7 days following the expiry date of your policy.
